’23 Stellar Reading Challenge (SRC) – Intro #3 – Local Tour

I continue to share details 2023 Stellar Reading Challenges (SRC) in these “Intro” posts. Today’s post focuses on the third “Tour” SRC — Local Tour SRC.

Local Tour SRC
Read books set in your hometown/region, your current place and/or read something by a local author

This Challenge goes from January 15, 2023 – January 14, 2024 but you may start as soon as January 1, 2023.

1. Books can be either set in your hometown/region, by an author from your hometown/region, or some of both.
2. Books must be set in the same place — e.g. if your hometown is New York City (NYC), then all books read for the Read Local SRC must either take place in NYC and/or be by an author from NYC.
3. Books must narrative literature — fiction or nonfiction.
4. Books can be read in any format — print, electronic, audio, etc.
5. At least a third of the book must take place in your selected “locale” to be counted.
6. Picture books do NOT count.
7. Books may also be counted towards the RUSA Tour SRC.
